I'm continuing to play with the Stampin' Up! Merriest Moment Bundle to create Christmas Cards. Today, I pulled out a variety of Gold Foil sheets (item # 132622) and Gold Metallic Specialty Paper (Item #156844), both from the Stampin' Up Annual Catalog to use in showcasing Merriest Moment Stamp Set and coordinating dies and embossing folder. Although Foil is difficult to photograph, I think I was able to capture the shine and detail using this bundle creates. Since the Merriest Moment Bundle is a carry over set to the new July-December 2022 Mini catalog, I can see using this set to create wedding and anniversary cards throughout next year. However, if you're thinking about this set, you'll want to pick up this set before the end of the year at the bundle saving as after this year's mini retires, it won't be sold with the 10% savings. As an added bonus, this is a unique bundle--a hybrid bundle. It includes the stamp set, the coordinating dies, and the embossing folder. The basecard for this Thick Basic White. Then I used the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder, part of the Merriest Moments Bundle to dry emboss a layer of Gold Foil Sheets. I then used the stitched rectangle die from the bundle to die cut a Basic White Sentiment layer.
I used additional dies in the Merriest Moments Bundle to die cut the poinsettias shapes from Gold Foil and from the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. I layered them and then mounted them on a Dimensional. I added a small, gold Gilded Gems in the center of the layered flower.
I love that this embossing folder creates the entire card front background, so you simply mount your embossed Gold Foil sheet onto your Thick Basic White basecard to create your card. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from Merriest Moments in Gold Ink on the Basic White sentiment rectangle. I prefer using Stampin' Metallic Emboss Powders (Item #155555), but I was crafting with friends at a Starbucks and decided not to bring my embossing powders and heat tool. The finished card has a wonderful holiday feel, and you'll be proud to send this to friends and family.
