Less than 45 days until Valentine's Day! Start your cards now to avoid stress as the "Day of Love" approaches. Take a look at the Country Floral Lane Suite on page 8-10 of the July-December Mini Catalog. You'll find so many ways to use this suite for your Valentine needs. Then continue to use the suite for Anniversaries or anytime you want to tell someone you love them. My card today, uses a variety of prints from the Country Floral Lane 12" X 12 Designer Series Papers. The color theme I used is Balmy Blue, Basic White and the little heart pearls on my card are Sweet Sorbet. I used the bike image from one of the prints from the Country Floral Lane Suite as my focal point. This paper is sooo versatile. These cute bikes are printed in Balmy Blue, Petal Pink and Mint Macaron, so this card could be recreated in multiple color themes. I used die cuts from the Penned Flowers Dies to create more interest on this card. The sentiments are from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set, and heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on a Balmy Blue die cut sentiment label using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The little Pearl Hearts are from the Annual Catalog, and I used Sweet Sorbet Blends to color them before adding them to my card. The basecard for the card is Balmy Blue Cardstock. Then I used a diagonal stripe paper from the Country Floral Lane 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Next I selected heart print from the Country Floral Lane DSP and matted it in Basic White. For my image panel, I used the Stitch Rectangle Dies to cut a Basic White panel and matted it with a Balmy Blue matte, also die cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I created a Basic White floral die cut using the Penned Flowers Dies and layered it between the image layer, on top of the Balmy Blue Hearts layer. Then, I fussy cut one of the Balmy Blue bike images from another print from the Country Floral Land DSP, mounted it on Dimensionals, and added it to my image layer.
I selected sentiments from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set, stamped them in VersaMark Ink, Covered them in White Embossing Powder, and set them using my Heat tool. Then I colored a couple of the Heart Pearls with Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends, and added them to the corner of my image panel. I'll bet you missed these cute Heart Pearls in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog on page 143. These Heart Pearls include an assortment of milky white, glossy white and pearl white hearts. But wait. What if you want different colors? No problem. Just grab your alcohol-based Stampin' Blends and color these darling little hearts any color you need. I like to color them before I remove them from the packaging. I also like to let the first coat of color dry and then I color them again for a deeper shade. For this card, I used Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends to color my hearts.
