Spring Greeting cards with Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set

As I finished mailing my Easter cards, I realized I needed a few more than I had made, so I decided to quickly put together a few more using the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set and the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! January - June Mini Catalog.  I used the back and front side of one of the prints from the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and realized that the tulips in the Flowering Rain Boots was a great accent, even though this paper is part of a different suite.  One of the benefits of the Stampin' Up! product line is that many of the products in the line work well with each other, even if they are from totally different suites.  I stamped the tulip in Mango Melody and realized they weren't quite dark engh, so I used a sponge dauber and added Pumpkin Pie ink, and when the tulip heads were still not fully inked enough to my satisfaction, I used a Pale Papaya Blends to add just a bit more shading to the flower heads.  The stems are stamped in Evening Evergreen, as is the sentiment.  Then I added ribbon and Brushed Brass Butterflies to the image layer.  I love the vibrant, Spring colors of this card!!  

To create today's card, I used a base card of Pale Papaya Cardstock.  Then a layer of Pumpkin Pie.  My image layer uses the Flowering Fields 12" X `12" Designer Series Paper.  I selected one print, and used both the front and the back side as the prints coordinated well. To hide the seam between my two prints, I used a piece of Pale Papaya and White Ribbon.

For my image layer, I used one of the stitched circles from the new Stylish Shapes Dies, which will be available when the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog launches 3 May 2022.  I used the largest circle in the set.  I stamped the stems of the tulips in Evening Evergreen from the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set.  Then I stamped the tulip heads in Mango Melody, stamped them again in Pumpkin Pie added to the tulip head stamps using a Sponge Dauber, and then I lightly shaded the edges of the tulips using a Light Pale Papaya Blends Marker.

To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen, and added several brass elements.  This was such a fast, simple card, that I cut several more so that I can have extra cards on hand to use this Spring.  The photo below shows the stamps and tools used to create these cards.

Another Alternative card idea for Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Kit with Flowering Rain Boots

I created another card using elements from the Safari Celebration February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit contents.   I cut down the basecards included in the kit to create an interesting layer for my images.  Then I used stamps and sentiments from the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set along with die cuts from the Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Kit to create finished cards that are sophisticated enough to send to my most discerning cardmaking friends. 😏  For this card idea, I used the watering can, flower pots and tulips from the Flowring Rain Boots Stamp Set with the circle sentiment lable and leaves die cuts from the Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I love how quicklyh this card came together.  This makes a wonderful Spring card; ready to use for many Spring-time celebrations.

For my Paper Pumpkin alternative card, I used one of the Bumblebee basecards, and cut it to use as a layer for my images.  I matted it in Basic White and mounted on a Bumblebee cardstock base card. I used the vellum stitched element and the leaves and sentiment label from the Safari Celebration Kit.  In addition, I used the flower pots, tulips, watering can and gardening fork and one of the sentiments from the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle as elements from my card.  

 

I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzelberry ink, which was the spot color included in the  Safari Celebration February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I used the coordinating colors of Fresh Freesia and Pear Pizzazz, to stamp the tulips so they would coordinate with one of the leaves form the Kit.  The flower pots are stamped in Cinnamon Cider.  The watering can is stamped in Smoky Slate.  The Cultivator Fork is die cut from Silver Foil Sheets. . 

Above, you can see both the card I created today, along with the card I created using the same Kit and Stamp and Die bundle that I posted yesterday.  I'm delighted with the results and thrilled to have found such satisfying alternative ways to use the Safari Celebration Kit.   And you'll want to order next months Paper Pumpkin Kit in order to also receive the extra stamp set included in that kit.  But today, March 10, is the final day to place your order.
