Here's a cute idea using the Stampin' Up! Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set

Here's another new Online Exclusive released earlier this week.  Its the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set and Dies Bundle.  It includes 6 adorable, fluffy animals that you just want to squeeze.  I needed a baby card for a special niece and I was so excited for the opportunity to use this new bundle.  I knew just the card I wanted layout I wanted to make, and it included several retired items from my crafting stash in addition to the new Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set.  I decided on a color theme of Bubble Bath and Berry Burst along with Basic White.  I created a card front using one of the Fluffiest Friends--a bunny holding a cup cake.  I colored the image using a Bubble Bath and Berry Burst Blends Markers with Crumb Cake accents.  You'll find the Fluffiest Friends Bundle in the Online Exclusives section of the Stampin' Up! website  Visit stampinup.com/online-exclusives to see all of the new items added this week.  On the inside of the card I wanted to create pop out words reading "Baby Girl" and I used retired Little Letters Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, and Ornate Layers Dies.   I finished my card by adding two Brushed Brass Butterflies.

This is a non-traditional card size because I wanted to use a piece of 8-1/2 X 11 as my card base.  The basecard for the card above is Bubble Bath Cardstock cut to 5-1/2 X 11, and scored at 3-3/4" and 7-1/2" along the long side.  Then. for the inside of the card, to create the pop out blocks, I cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock at 7" X 5-3/8", scored at 3-5/8 along the 7" side.  Next, to create the blocks for my letters, I folded the piece of Basic White on the score line I created and on the folded edge, I created the following 1" cuts using my trimmer.  I cut at 1/4" 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2-1/2", 2-3/4", 4", 5", and 5-3/8".      

Then I lined up the Basic White score line with the 7-1/2 score line on the Bubble Bath Base card, and glued the left side in place, including the short pieces of the blocks.  I did not glue the 1" block pieces as those will pop out.  Then glue the right hand side of the Basic White piece to the Bubble bath Base card, including the short pieces, again leaving the 1" block pieces.  Next I die cut the letters for "Baby Girl' out of Berry Burst Cardstock, and added them to the 1" Basic White Blocks.  I used my pick tool to pop up the 1" blocks.   Next, I cut layers of Berry Burst and Basic White using various sized dies using the Ornate Layers Dies.

  

For the Front of my card, I cut Basic White and a Berry Burst pieces of Cardstock using one of the Ornate Layers Dies.  Then I trimmed the Basic White piece to just outside the dots and layered it on top of the Berry Burst layer to create a framed area to use for my Fluffiest Friends image.  I stamped one of the images from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.   

To finish my card front, I used Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, and Crumb Cake  alcohol-based Markers to color the bunny and cup cake.  Then I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock to use as my sentiment layer.  I used a sentiment from the retired Made with Love Stamp Set, and stamped it using Berry Burst ink.  Finally, I added two Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card.
