I seem to be on a Sunflower kick. Here's another Sunflower-themed greeting card. It's easy with so many Sunflower-themed stamp set in the Stampin' Up! product line. Today I used the Stampin' Up! Jar of Flowers Stamp Set. One of the stamps includes this trio of sunny sunflowers, which I showcased using one of the dies cuts from Painted Labels Dies. I used a color theme of Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive, along with a print from the Design a Daydream 12" X 12" Host Designer Series Paper Pack, and colored the Sunflowers using Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, and I fussy cut it after stamping it in Pear Pizzazz ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used the Sunflower Dies to cut a shock of Basic White foliage to add to the left of the Sunflowers. I found that this stamp coordinates well with Sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, and I plan to create a family of Sunflower-themed cards using both stamp sets together. This is one of the features I enjoy about Stampin' Up! products--they often work well together--allowing you to extend your creativity across stamp sets. This card uses a basecard of Pear Pizzazz. Then a layer of Basic White dry embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, matted in Old Olive. Then I used another, smaller piece of a print from the Design a Daydream Host 12" X 12" Paper Pack for a bit of added interest, and matted it in Old Olive. I added a 1-1/4" wide band of Pear Pizzazz before beginning my image layer.

I used a circular die cut in Basic White as the base for my image layer. Then I stamped the daisies images from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set in Cajan Craze, and colored them with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends. I love the bleed from the Cajun Craze ink outline that adds a depth of color to the daisies. Then I fussy cut the daisies and popped them up on Dimensionals before adding them to my image layer. I also die cut some foliage from Basic White Cardstock using the Sunflowers Dies and added them along the side.

I tried a couple of different embellishments. I used Brushed Brass Butterflies above the foliage. And I used the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots on the band. I'm undecided if I should use both of if one or the other is enough. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, fussy cut around the outside edges, and added it to my card front.

Having fun with Jar of Flowers Stamp set

Stampin' Up! Jar of Flowers

One of the largest new Suites in the annual Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 catalog is the Flowers for Every Season Suite on pp. 10-13. Yes. It takes 4 pages to show you the complete suite Today I'm using the Jar of Flowers from this suite. You'll notice that this set includes two stamps that are reversible. That means that you can stamp either side of this stamp for different effects. One is an open jar. and the other is a shorter container. I love that this stamp set gives you four different flower assortments. I chose to use the sunflower bouquet for this card. The simple embossed design on Bumblebee basecard was created using the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.

The basecard for my card Bumblebee Cardstock, one of the new In Colors. It is dry embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder. Then a layer of one of the Misty Moonlight prints from the 2020-2022 In Color 6 X 6" Designer series Papers. If you look closely, you'll see that this print. actually includes words from the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart, which you'll find at the bottom right of page 2 of the new annual catalog. The image layer is Whisper White cardstock.

I stamped the sunflower bouquet from the Jar Of Flowers stamp set using Saddle Brown Stazon Ink. The I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin' Blends. For the flower centers, I found that Blends were too dark and washed out the dots, so I used the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil to create the right shade. I then cut around the sunflower bouquet and popped it up on Dimensionals.

I stamped the jar in Misty Moonlight, another new In Color, and shaded the jar using Balmy Blue Blends. Then I stamped the stems for the flowers in Old Olive ink and colored them with Old Olive Stampin' Blends.

I added a bow in Misty Moonlight 1/4" 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon. Then I selected a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies, and stamped a sentiment from the Tasteful Touches Stamp set and stamped it in Misty Moonlight Ink. You'll love all of the different looks you can create using this fun set. And you'll be proud to sent someone special this lovely handmade card
