Two-step stamping with Stampin' Up! Petal Park Stamp Set

Today I'm using the Stampin' Up! Petal Park Stamp Set and sentiments from the Layering Leaves Stamp set to create a fast, simple card that will thrill anyone who receives it.   My color theme is Bubble Bath, Berry Burst and Basic White.   I found a Berry Burst ribbon among my retired ribbon stash from an earlier time when Berry Burst was one of the colors in the Stampin' Up! Color Collection.  I was thrilled when I saw it return!  The Petal Park Stamp Set is a two-step stamp set, so I stamped the flower outlines in Berry Burst and the flowers color in Bubble Bath ink.  Because the three largest flowers are a single stamp, placement of your stamped images looks more professional than if you were trying to space flowers on your own.  I matted the stamped Basic White Cardstock layer with Berry Burst Cardstock, and also used Berry Burst Ink to stamp the sentiments.  The Petal Park Stamp set has a coordinating punch, and I have included card ideas using both the stamp set and the punch below. The basecard for this card is Bubble Bath Cardstock.  Then, I cut a 5-1/2" X 2" wide Basic White layer to use as my images and matted the image layer with a 5-1/2 X 2-1/4" piece of Berry Burst.  

  

I first stamped the outline floral images in Berry Burst Ink, and then used the additional floral image stamp to color the images in Bubble Bath Ink.  Then I stamped the small trio of small florals in Berry Burst to fill in between the larger images.    

  

To finish my card, I stamped sentiments from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set in Berry Burst Ink and then I added a bow of 3/8" Silver-Edged Berry Burst Ribbon from my retired stash.  I tried several different embellishments, but they drew too much attention from this simple card, so I left the embellishments for another card.
