One of my favorite sets from the July-December 2022 Mini catalog is the Merriest Moment Bundle. Its a set that works well for Fall greeting cards--minus the poinsettia--as well as holiday cards. I'm using up some of my Designer Series Paper from last year's Sale-A-Bration before my preorder with many of the new Sale-A-Bration items arrive. I was up at 2 AM to put in my preorder as I'm so excited by the new items coming in the new Stampin' Up! catalogs beginning January 5. Heads up to my customers: The New Stampin' Up! January - May 2023 Mini catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration brochure are being sent to you and you should have them in your hands mid to late December. Back to today's card. You can pick up this bundle on the Last Chance sale going going on now. This is a unique set--a hybrid bundle. It includes the stamp set, the coordinating dies, and the embossing folder. One of the dies cuts at the same time you're using the embossing folder, saving you a step in your creative process! Take a closer look at this item as it is easy to miss this unique set. The basecard for this Thick Basic White. Then a layer of Penguin Playmates 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, which was one of last year's free Sale-A-Bration Selection during August, and turned out to be perfect for this card. Then I created a die cut using the 2021-2023 Shimmer Paper in Fresh Freesia. This Shimmer paper has a side that sparkles and a plain side. I found that when you dry emboss the plain side, that it creates a white outline, giving this paper a more distressed look.
As I mentioned above, this is a hybrid die and embossing set. That means I die cut and embossed the Fresh Freesia Shimmer Paper image in one pass through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. This set of dies also includes the stitched rectangle die, which I used to die cut the Basic White area used for the sentiment.
To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from Merriest Moments in Fresh Freesia Ink. I added a Fresh Freesia Ribbon, and I stamped two of the poinsettia stamps from this stamp set, die cut them, and layered them on the corner of the card. I added a pearl from the Pastel Pearl package to the center of the poinsettia.
