Birds & Butterfly-themed Greeting card using Stampin' Up! Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper

The allure of this card lies in the combination of the delicate Fresh Freesia Paper Butterfly Accents along with the fine feathered friends in a print from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, a FREE Sale-A-Bration Selection with qualifying purchase.   This beautiful paper pack includes both charming birds and florals, as well as a variety of attractive, complimentary prints and shaded backgrounds to use in your creations.  

Color theme for today's card is Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, and Basic White, which draws out the colors in the designer series paper.  I used a small blending brush to  add color to the white Paper Butterfly Accents.  You'll get a pack of 40 butterflies in 5 different sizes to add to your projects with these beauties.    I used a die from the Natural Prints dies to create my sentiment label, but you will find several sentiment sizes from the Stylish Shapes Dies that will also work with this card layout.  I heat embossed white sentiments from the  Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set and from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set for the cards showcased in today's posts.  I finished my cards with a couple of Pretty Peacock Pearls from the Blooming Pearls pack, Item #162238| $8.00 USD, which is a carry over from the previous Mini catalog.  To earn the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and other items during Sale-A-Bration 2024, from now until February 29, for each $50 or $100 you spend, you can select Free items from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.   

   

You'll enjoy creating the cards with this beautiful Designer Series Paper.  The basecard for this card is Thick Basic White Cardstock.  Then one of the Lost Lagoon prints from the Flight & Airy 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper was added.  Next I selected one of the floral and bird prints from Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper and matted it in Lost Lagoon Cardstock.  Depending on the section of the Designer Paper you use, you will have a section with both birds and florals, or with only florals.  Both are lovely to work with.  

Next, I selected butterflies from the Paper Butterfly Accents in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog to use on my card.  With 5 different sizes, you could add one or two butterflies depending on your preference.  Before I popped these pre-cut butterflies from their backing, I used a mini blending brush and my Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to shade my butterflies to match colors in the florals from the Designer Series Paper.   I cut a mini dimensional in half and added it to the body of the butterfly before adding it to my card.  

Finally, for my sentiment, I used the Natural Prints Dies to die cut a Lost Lagoon shape that fit my sentiments.  I selected sentiments form the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set on one card , and a sentiment from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set on my other card.  I stamped the sentiments in VersaMark ink, covered them with White Embossing Powder, and set them with my Heat tool.  I finished my cards by adding Pretty Peacock Blooming Pearls from an accessory pack that carried over from the September - December 2023 Mini Catalog.  They worked perfectly as accents on my cards.
