Splendid Thoughts Bundle, part of the Splendid Day Suite from Stampin' Up!, has proven to me to be one of the hidden gems in the Stampin' Up! July - December catalog.  It's a great general purpose Bundle that I've used to create card after card this fall.  With the lush foliage images, elegantly lettered sentiments coordinating dies, paper, embellishments and ribbon, it works for cards, scrapbook pages, tags and so much more.  

Today's card is my own take on a card created by one of the Stampin' Up! home office Demonstrator District Managers (DDMs), who has been presenting a weekly demonstrator - only  "mystery stamping" event during October.  Being able to join these virtual events is one of the perks of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator.  In addition to the Stampin' Up! University sessions, chock full of techniques and tips, and plenty of live and virtual events, demonstrators are often treated to Demonstrator-only stamping session with our favorites from Stampin' Up! creative home office team.  We were given the cardstock, stamps, inks and embellishments lists ahead of time, and then we joined a Facebook call earlier this evening where we created our cards together. We used Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Mint Macaron Cardstocks and Inks along with a pop of Real Red Cardstock. We stamped, die cut, Heat Embossed, and ended up with our own versions of this design.  I used the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to create the background for my images, and I added a few Gold Faceted Gems for accents. 

 

This card uses a basecard of Soft Succulent Cardstock.  Then a layer of Evening Evergreen, and then another layer of Soft Succulent.  I used one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and used a sponge to stamp Evening Evergreen Ink onto the Soft Succulent layer.   

Next, I created a die cut out of Mint Macaron Cardstock  using the Beautiful Shapes Dies.  I stamped one of the two steps stamps from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set first in Evening Evergreen, and then stamped the coordinating stamp in Soft Succulent.  I mounted that layer on Dimensionals.  I die cut two additional elements using Splendid Stem Dies out of Evening Evergreen Cardstock.  Then I stamped the stamped image on the solid die cut. 

For the sentiment label, I used one of the stitched dies from the Splendid Stem Dies and Real Red Cardstock.  I stamped the Sending Hugs sentiment from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set using VersaMark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with my Heat Tool.   I added 3 Gold Gems (retired) that I grabbed from my work table without checking if they were current or not...sigh.   

I'm surprised how much use I've gotten from this set.  This is a great general-purpose suite from the July-December Mini Catalog.    You can order the Splendid Day Suite | 159681 | $82.25 USD at my on line store.
