Every love story is different. The fun of creating Valentines is to fine colors and textures that express the warmth and love you have for someone you've chosen to create your love story with. Today I've used a rich array of textured papers, ribbons and hearts to create a unique valentine for someone special. I chose Misty Moonlight as my accent color and then chose papers with printed textures to add interest. I used heart dies from the Floral Heart Dies and from the Bouquet of Life Dies, and labels and Sentiment from the Sweet Heart Dies and Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. I used papers from the In Good Taste Paper Pack, along with vellum from the Vellum 12 X 12 Layering Designs ,along with Frayed Ribbon and Bakers Twine to create my card. Handmade Valentines create special memories your loved ones will cherish long after the holiday has passed.
To create this card, I began with a basecard of Misty Moonlight Cardstock. Then a layer of one of the prints from the 12" X 12" In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. Then a banner made from another prints from In Good Taste, and finally a Stitched rectangle of Misty Moonlight using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I used the Seet Heart Dies to die cut a label for the Happy valentine's day sentiment from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. I stamped it in Misty Moonlight. To complete my cards, I added a piece of 3/4" White Frayed Ribbon, a gold foil accent from a retired set of butterfly dies, and then added a couple of Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots. Below is a close up of the hearts showing the design in the Vellumn and more of the textures in the papers used for this card.
