Cherry Cobbler Candles using Stampin' Up! Sweetest Time Stamp Set

I love how the Stampin' Up! Designers created this print form the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper that works with both Real Red or Cherry Cobbler.  I used Cherry Cobbler accents with the Sweetest Time Bundle to create today's card.   I used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to color Real Red Sheer Ribbon so that it matched the Cherry Cobbler accents. The Sweetest Borders Dies were used to cut a bottom border from Old Olive Cardstock, and a Cherry Cobbler Rhinestone accents the sentiment.

The basecard for this card is Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  Then a layer of Whisper White.  Then a print from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper that included both Real Red and Cherry Cobbler accents as well as a small Old Olive design as part of the prints.  And best new of all, the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper is on sale as part of the Designer Series Paper Sale until October 31, 2020.

I used the Sweetest Borders Dies to cut a border of foliage from Old Olive cardstock to use at the bottom of the stamped candles.  The candles from the Sweetest Time Stamp Set are stamped in Cherry Cobbler with So Saffron flames.

To change the 3/8" Real Red Sheer Ribbon to Cherry Cobbler so that it matched my card, I used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to color the  ribbon.  I used the Dark, but I would recommend using the Light Cherry Cobbler Blends if you're going to CASE this card. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Sweetest Time Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a scrap of Whisper White, popped it up on Dimensionals and added a Cherry Cobbler Rhinestone from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to finish my card.

Christmas Card idea using Stampin' Up! Sweetest TIme Stamp Set

I'm using the Sweetest Time Stamp Set again today, along with the coordinating Sweetest Border Dies.  I decided to make a monochromatic card using Coastal Cabana, Shaded Spruce, and Mint Macaron.  I used the North Pole Wonder Dies to create the sentiment.  The Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems include a collection of green-hued gems that were perfect accents for this card.

The basecard for this card is Coastal Cabana.  Then a layer of Shaded Spruce.  And then a layer of Whisper White brushed with very watered down Shaded Spruce ink using Water Painters.  To get it the shade I wanted, I used my brush to pick up some ink directly from the Shaded Spruce Stamp pad and I put it on a clear block, adding water from my Water Painter until it reached the light shade I wanted for my background.  I lightly brushed it onto the Whisper White card stock.  Tip:  Avoid going over and over your Whisper White card stock as it will begin to pill.  (Ask me how I know...😏). To avoid pilling, you could use Fluid 100 Water Color paper, but I like our Whisper White, which I find to be just a shade whiter than our Fluid 100 water color paper.

I stamped the candle images using Coastal Cabana ink onto Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I fussy cut two of the candles to use on my card.  The candle stamp has three candles, so you'll have an extra to use on another card. Then I used the largest die from the Sweetest Border Dies to create the greenery out of Mint Macaron cardstock. I also created extra leaves and sprigs using dies from the Sweetest Borders Dies and Shaded Spruce cardstock.

I selected the circle and stitched scallop dies from the North Pole Wonder Dies and cut a plain circle out of Whisper White for the sentiment, and cut a stitched scallop boarder out of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  Then I layered all of the elements onto the card front.  The sentiment is mounted on Dimensionals, while the remaining elements are adhered flat to the Whisper White card front.    I added 3 gems from the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems pack.  Half of the package are gems with a green and gold hue, which worked perfectly with this card.
