A Craft Room Play Day with some of my Favorite Retired Products

With Demonstrators being able to begin preordering from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog beginning July 1 (a perk of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator), I'm rearranging my existing stamps and dies to make room for the exciting new products coming in the new catalogs. I always keep a number of my favorite retired stamps and dies, and when I ran across the World Map Dies and the Celebrate You Dies--both retired--I decided to make this a "play with your retired products" day in my craft room. With heavy to light rains falling most of today, it was the perfect day to brew a mug of Fennel Tea and play indoors. I used retired elements from the Sailing Home Stamp Set, the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder, Brass Foil Sheets and World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper. Hmmm, seems I have more retired products than I thought! Soo glad I hung on to these wonderful pieces...and I'm making room for some of the new items I can't wait to order!

Blue and Gold Foil handmade greeting card using Stampin' Up! World Map Dies

The basecard for this card is Misty Moonlight Cardstock. Then another layer of Misty Moonlight dry embossed using the Old World Paper3D Embossing Folder. The image layer is a print from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper matted with a piece of Brass Foil Sheet.

I used the World Map Dies to die cut the globe from Brass Foil Sheets. I used the Celebrate You Dies to die cut the sentiment out of Brass Foil Sheets as well. I stamped a Very Vanilla envelope with one of the stamps from the Sailing Home Stamp Set.

It was so much fun spending an afternoon creating cards with some of my favorite retired Stampin' Up! products as I prepare my craft room for new products from the upcoming catalogs full of fall and holiday-themed items. Masculine card ideas using Beautiful World Stamp Set

Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

Weather you need a masculine graduation card, a Father's Day Card, or a Congratulations-on-the-New Job card, you'll find yourself reaching for the World of Good Suite from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog. Today I used the Beautiful World Stamp Set and the coordinating World Maps Dies along with the new Cinnamon Cider map print from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper to create my card. I used the World Maps Dies to cut a Brass Foil Sheet overlay for a circle of Cinnamon Cider. I stamped and die cut other images from this set, and used Blends to color a coordinating ribbon. I made several duplicates of this card while I had my supplies out as I love having cards on hand to use when I need them.

The basecard for this card is Basic Black. Then one of the prints from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper. The image layer has a mat of Basic Black and the images are mounted on Very Vanilla.

I die cut the glob stand out of Early Espresso using the World Map Dies. I love that the die gives the edges of the die cut an embossed finished around the edges so it isn't just a flat die cut when finished. I also used the dies to cut the Cinnamon Cider circle and then used another die from the set to die cut a sheet of Brass Foil to create the open map overlay. The dies also cut the feathe, which I popped up on Dimensionals.

I used additional stamps from the Beautiful world Stamp Set for the rest of the images, stamping them in either Misty Moonlight or Cinnamon Cider -- both new In Colors for 2020-2022.

I added a ribbon that I created from 3/8" Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends. I love how fast the ribbon dries when using our alcohol-based Blends to change the ribbon color to match my card. I love the extra touch the gold edge ribbon added, complimenting the World Map Die Cut. I can't wait to play with this new suite more as it has so many more elements for making beautiful cards. You'll be proud to send someone special cards made using this lovely suite.
