- Alternative card from Sweet Sunflowers August Paper Pumpkin Kit

Yesterday I shared the 3 different card designs from the Sweet Sunflowers August Paper Pumpkin Kit. Today, I showing an alternative card I made from the contents of the kit. In fact, the background is actually a piece of one of the pre-printed envelopes from the kit plus I created a Blackberry Bliss Sunflower from the stamp included in the August Paper Pumpkin Kit. The coordinating colors of the August Sweet Sunflowers kit included Blackberry Bliss and I think it pair beautifully with Fresh Freesia cardstock. I dug through my all of my current and retired embossing folders and dies looking for anything bee or hive themed, and found this current Hive 3D Embossing Folder, which I used to dry emboss the Fresh Freesia background. I used Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the Sunflower and then used my Water Painters to lightly water color the Sunflower with ink from the Blackberry Bliss ink pad. I used the "hello" stamp from the kit to stamp a sentiment label. This just pleases my eyes. I may go back and add a bee from the kit or one of the left over metal bees from a previous catalog. This kit continues to give me such joy, an I know I'll be proud to send this card to a family member or friends.
I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock for the base of my card. Then a layer of Fresh Freesia dry embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. Then I selected a piece of one of the envelopes from the Sweet Sunflower August 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit and but it so I preserved the rest of the envelope for another card. Two cards from one envelope! That's a great way to extend the usefulness of your kit!. I matted the piece of envelope with Blackberry Bliss.
The kit includes a unique stamp set, and I used the Sunflowers Stamp to create a BlackBerry Bliss watercolored daisy by stamping the daisy once, then twisting the stamp slightly and stamping again. Then I used my Water Painters to add a bit of Blackberry Bliss ink to the leaves before fussy cutting the daisy. I also stamped two leaves in Mossy Meadow using stamps in this kit. Finally, I used one of the watercolored sentiment labels from the kit and stamped hello in Rich Razzelberry ink. I think Rich Razzelberry matched perfectly and wasn't quite as "heavy" as stamping it in Blackberry Bliss ink.
