Black and White floral thank you card using Stampin' Up! Shaded Summer Stamp Set

To create today's card, I used a base card of Basic Black Cardstock. Then a layer of Basic White. My image layer uses one of the Black and White prints from the All Together 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, found in the "What's New" section of the Stampin' Up! Web site. Then I die cut a piece of vellum cardstock using one of the Scalloped Contours Dies.

For my image layer, I used a stamped flower image from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set, which I stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and die cut with the Summer Shadow Dies. These dies will be available in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, and have been available previously. I also used just the dies from Summer Shadow Dies to create two more flowers. I die cut the background out of Basic Black, and the detailed foreground of the flowers from Basic White. Tip: to avoid glue showing through your vellum paper, I glued my images and sentiment to the vellumn layer while it was still loose, and then only added glue on the vellumn behind the stamped and die cut images before attaching the vellumn layer to the Designer Series Paper.

To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink pnto a Basic White oval glued to a scalloped Basic Black oval. These were created using the Double Oval Punch. Then I added the a few Matte Black Dots.

Stampin' Up! So Sentimental Stamp Set

I wanted to create a card that used some of the retiring item before they retire on June 2 and also featured some items that will carry over to the new, annual Stampin' Up! catalog going live June 3. Items used on this card that are retiring are the Leaf Punch, Birthday Dies, Nobel Peacock Rhinestones and So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper. While its always sad to lose some of your favorites, I'm always happy when I can use items a little longer. The Small Bloom Punch, the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the So Sentimental Stamp Set and coordinating dies WILL carry over to the new catalog. If you've had your eyes on the So Sentimental Bundle, you'll want to order this set before June 3, to take advantage of the bundle pricing. Bundle pricing on this set ends June 2, even though this bundle will carry over to the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog and be available as individual items. Save 10% when you purchase the So Sentimental Bundle. If there are other bundles you've had your eye on, be sure to purchase them before the release of the new annual catalog. The basecard for today's card is Soft Sea Foam. Then another layer of Soft Sea Foam dry embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Then a layer of So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Whisper White layer was die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The sentiments, from the So Sentimental Stamp Set was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.

The edges of the cards are decorated with die cuts and punches, including the Leaf Punch, The Small Bloom Punch, stems and leaves from the Birthday Dies. These elements were die cut and punched from Whisper White, Soft Sea Form and Vellum Cardstock. The centers of each flower includes an Old Olive Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones, which are on sale on the Last-Chance Product list.

If you need a special card, this is a beautiful card layout that you can use with your favorite colors and your favorite punches and dies.

The new Annual Stampin' Up catalogs will be available to customers June 2, and I've submitted my list to Stampin' Up! to have catalogs sent directly to my customers who have purchased within the past 6 months.
