Merry Patterns
I can't believe I've waited so long to play with this stamp set. Merry Patterns is so easy to work with. Its a two step stamp set with several images and sentiments that can carry the focal point of the card. You can easily make a family of cards if you're interested in making a quick gift for your Thanksgiving Day hostess. Or the images can be used on individual cards to crate many different looks.
The basecard for both cards I created today is Cherry Cobbler. Then, both cards include a layer of Whisper White.
The card below is very simple. The Elk are stamped in Smoky Slate except for the one stamped in Cherry Cobbler. After stamping in Basic Black outline and in Cherry Cobbler sweater, I fussy cut the Cherry Cobbler Elk and popped him up on dimensionals. A Silver Foil Snowflake peeks below the image block. I carried the Silver foil theme to other areas of the card by adding a strip of Silver Washi Tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape collection. The Merry Christmas sentiment was heat embossed in Whisper White.
The second card, below, was stamped in Basic Black Archival outline. Then there is a stamp for the flames, which I stamped in Crushed Curry. Two other stamps include the different patterns in the candles. Both were stamped in Cherry Cobbler. The candles are popped up on dimensionals before adding them to the Silver Foil Snowflake.
The sentiment is also a two step stamp. I stamped the outline in Basic Black Archival, and then the design in Cherry Cobbler. The Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper is layered below the image block.
I'm going to be playing with this set a lot more now that I see how easy it is to create beautiful cards with this set.
