Stampin' Up! Winter Woods Stamp Set
We had so much fun this weekend making Holiday cards. One of the cards we made was this glittery holiday card that works for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any fall "Thinking of you" occasion, depending on the sentiment you use. It uses the lovely Winter Woods Stamp Set and the Ice Stampin' Glitter. Linen Thread, the Subtle Embossing Folder and a sentiment from the September Paper Pumpkin kit works well for this card.
The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White. Then a layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Then the image layer is Whisper White.
Recipe

I stamped the woods in the center, then added more on each edge. Then I used a sponge dauber and added Crumb Cake in swirls to the bottom of the trees to anchor them. Then I added glue to the branches and dipped the area with the wet glue into Ice Stampin' Glitter, tapping off any excess. I set the card front aside to dry.
Once dry, I added three layers of Linen Thread. Then I cut a circle for my sentiment using the Layering Circles Dies. The sentiment is from the stamp set included with the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink. A triple blow of Linen Thread was added to the sentiment using a glue dot. To finish the card, I added some of the Frosted Epoxy Droplets.
You can see the glitter on the tree branches best in the photo above. You'll love the Winter Woods Stamp Set. You'll love everything you make with this lovely stamp set.

Customers can now order the new Paper Trimmer
During yesterday's card class we were looking closely at the new Paper Trimmer and discovered these new features.
New Stampin' Up Paper Trimmer Item #152392 Price: $25.00
-The old Paper Trimmer had a locking mechanism on the cutting guides, that had to be locked and unlocked. The new paper trimmer clicks into place so the cutting guides stay in place while being transported. It disengages when lifted, taking less effort than the old locking mechanism.
-The blades are much more substantial. Looking at the underside of the blades, there is much more surface to both the cutting blade and scoring blades than our previous blades. Also, the handles on both blades are also more substantial, making them easier to guide when cutting paper.
- The new Paper Trimmer includes a paper guide measurements not only on the left side and right side, but also in the middle of the Paper Trimmer making it easier to line up a shorter piece of cardstock.
-The new paper cutter has a swing out arm like our old paper cutter, but it is a couple inches longer than our older paper cutter.
- The one piece missing from the new Paper Trimmer is the handy storage on the under side of the Paper Trimmer. However, without this extra storage, the new paper trimmer is lighter weight.
- We also noticed that the blade channel was much narrower than the old Paper Trimmer blade channel. We assume that this will result in a much finer cutas the blade has less room to wiggle.
- The new Paper Trimmer cuts nice and smooth, and you're going to be happy with your new purchase.
Place your order now.
- The new Paper Trimmer comes with one cutting blade and one scoring blade.
- Paper trimmer (Item 152392): $25.00 USD
