I had so much fun pairing the Joyful Specialty Paper with the Merriest Trees Bundle to create today's card. The Joyful Specialty Paper is an eclectic selection of four designs, all with a touch of gold foil. I chose one with Cherry Cobbler and gold musical notes for my card today. I love that this paper is versatile and can be used all year long, even though it is part of the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog collection. My color theme for this card is Cherry Cobbler, Gold Foil, Shaded Spruce and Basic White. I stamped the tree from Merriest Trees in Shaded Spruce Ink, die cut it using the Merriest Trees Dies, and added gold foil garland die cuts to decorate the tree. Merriest Trees Dies also includes a large tag, which I die cut in Gold foil as a layer for my tree. I added a gold foil layer matte and mounted my card on a Shaded Spruce Basecard. I used a piece of Real Red & Gold Dotted 3/8" Ribbon, Item 162353, I found as a new item on the Online Exclusives -- only available on the Stampin' Up! Website. I tied a knot in the piece of ribbon to add to the top of the gold foil tag on my card. I stamped a sentiment from Merriest Trees Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock, and added a Gold Festive Pearl to the edge of the sentiment label. At the top of the tree, I added a gold star die cut using one of the dies in the Merriest Trees Dies.

The basecard for this card is Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Then I used a layer of Gold Foil Sheet as a matte, and, finally, I added a layer of the Cherry Cobbler and gold foil music notes from the Stampin' Up! Joyful 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. Then I die cut a Gold Foil Sheet tag using the Merriest Trees Dies.
Next, I stamped the tree from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink onto Basic White Cardstock, and die cut it using the Merriest Trees Dies. I also used the Merriest Trees Dies to die cut Gold Foil garland to string onto my tree. Tip: Back your Gold Foil Sheet with Adhesive Sheet before die cutting to make mounting these tiny die cuts easier. I also stamped a trunk for my tree using Pecan Pie Ink. I mounted the tree on Dimensionals before adding it to the tag on the card front. I also die cut a Gold Foil star for the top of my tree using the Merriest Trees Dies.
To finish my cards, I tied a knot in a piece of 3/8 Real Red & Gold Dotted ribbon and added it to the top of my gold foil tag. Then, on a piece of Basic White Cardstock scrap, I stamped a sentiment from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce ink and trimmed it to fit my card. Finally, I added a single Gold Festive Pearl to the edge of my sentiment.
Below is a close-up look at the Gold foil garland created using the Merriest Trees Dies and backed with adhesive sheet to make them easy to apply to the Christmas Tree.
