Another Hello Lovely card

Hello Lovely

I was busy today preping for my Hello Lovely class this week end.   I just love this scrapbooking card collection set.  And if you choose to use the collection for cards, instead of scrapbook pages, you'll find this collection makes wonderful greeting cards.

As I looked through the Hello Lovey card collection remaining after putting together cards for the class, I decided to make one more card with this set.  In the Hello Lovely Accessory Pack, I found an acetate sheet that I used as a layer between the base card and the image block.  I trimmed it so the White pluses showed at the bottom of the page.  I used Soft Sky for this card, although Pool Party would have worked just as well.  The flower in this image compliments both colors.

Make wonderful cards using the Hello Lovely Project Life card collection

The sentiment block is matted with a Stitched Shape Circle Die cut.  The sentiment itself is part of a stamp from the Everyday Tags stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sky to keep the overall soft feel of this card.  The sequins are also from the Hello Lovely Project Life Accessory kit.  I used one of the small circles from the Layering Circle Framelit set to cut only the words from this sentiment stamp.  I added a 1/2 " Very Vanilla Lace Trim bow to the corner of the image block.

Crafting Forever with Floral Berry Burst flowers

  • Berry Burst Crafting Forever stamp set
  • Hello Lovely Project Life card class

Crafting Forever stamp set

This is the third card I've made this week with the new Crafting Forever set to give you a sneak peek at this new set, available June 1.   Take a look at yesterday's and the previous post for other ideas for using this set.  The images in this stamp set are shown further down in this post.  I used the paint bush pot and the scissors image on today's card. I like trying sentiments from other sets to get more use out of a stamp set.  This is also my first time using the new Pretty Label Punch and its coordinating Label Me Pretty stamp set.

I chose Berry Burst, a new In Color, Whisper White, and Basic Black for my color palette today.  The sentiment and scissors are both stamped in Basic Black.  I stamped the paint brush pot onto a scrap of the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack, cut it out and added it over the stamped image.  The Scissors was fussy cut out of a piece of Whisper White and colored with black and gray water colored pencils and then the watercolor pencil was blended with a Blender Pen.

This stamp set will be available June 1 2017

The sentiment block is matted with a punched shape using the Pretty Label Punch.  The matt was stamped in Basic Black with the boarders from the coordinating Label Me Pretty Stamp set.  This sentiment is from the Sunbust Saying stamp set.  I wanted to get this card in the mail so I didn't color any of the paint brushes, but the line art is perfect for coloring with watercolor pencils, markers, or ink and Aqua Painters.

Available in the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual Catalog

Shear Happiness using the Crafting Forever stamp set

  • More uses of the Crafting Forever stamp set
  • Hello Lovely collection card class

Sheer Happiness

This is the second card I've made with the new Crafting Forever set so you'll have a sneak peek at some great ideas for this set, available June 1.   Take a look at yesterday's post for another idea for using this set.  The images in this set are shown further down in this post.  I used the scissors image on today's card I was sending a note to my mom about all of the crafts she used to do that gave me the crafting gene.  I can't wait to use this card with my hair dresser or for my sisters.  I'm probably going to use one of the alphabet sets to create sentiments such as, "Stay Sharp" or " Shear Elegance" or something else punny.

2017-2018 new catalog Sneak Peek

I chose Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and Early Espresso for my color pallet today.  The sentiment and scissors are both stamped in Early Espresso.  The image and sentiment blocks are both matted in Early Espresso.  I also used one of the tea lace doilies from the Occasions catalog as an accent on this card.  I'm so sad that these tea lace doilies from are sold out, but you can still order the Delicate White Doilies (141701) from the current catalog.

2017-2018 new catalog Sneak Peek

The Crumb Cack background layer is dry embossed with the new Oh My Stars (143710) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, available in the new June 1 catalog.  I can see all kinds of possibilities for this embossing folder, and I'll be using it quite a bit, I'm sure.  One added bonus with this set is a very small stamps with the Stampin' Up! copyright on it.  This is perfect for stamping the back of cards, and it means I'll probably keep this set long after it retires.
