Winter Wonder Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up

Snowflake Sentiments


Today's card is one of the cards we're making this week end in our Christmas card class.  It uses the Winter Wonder Embossing folder to create a focal point on the face of the card.  Then Gold embossing and Gold Glimmer Sheets add additional sparkle to this classy Christmas Card.  You'll want to make a stack of these ready to mail during the Holidays.         
  
  



The basecard for this card is Thick Very Vanilla.  Then a layer of Gold Foil Sheets, and then a layer of Very Vanilla.  Use the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Very Vanilla layer to create a stunning snowflake. 

 Using Gold Glimmer paper create a 2" scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.   On a 2 X 2" Very Vanilla piece, stamp the snowflake from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in Versamark ink.  Cover the inked area with Gold Embossing powder.  Avoid touching the ink and powder and set the powder with your heat tool.  Once set, punch out the snowflake with a 1-1/2 Circle Punch and mount on the scalloped Gold Glimmer Die cut.

 The bow is made from the 3/8" Gold Metallic-Edge Very Vanilla Ribbon.

Carols of Christmas Card from Stampin' Up!

Carols of Christmas


Today's card is one of the cards we're making this week end in our Christmas card class.  It uses the Carols of Christmas bundle.  I live in Houston, and many people believe we don't experience a change-of-season here.  However, my walk in the woods at sunset with my dog was pure joy.  We scuffed through a deep layer of colored leaves in a beautiful mild evening.  I love our changing seasons!



Falling leaves reminds me of how soon the holidays will be here and how busy we all get this time of year.  But with a bit of early planning, we'll get it all done!   I'm already well into making Christmas Cards to send this year.  Today's card is a wonderfully, simple, quick card, and its one of the cards we're making in our Christmas Card class this week end.        
  
  



The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then a layer of Night of Navy is die cut using the Card Front Builder Thinlits.  These Thinlits created the stars and sparkles in the sky.  This same set created the trees, which are die cut in Whisper White.  

 The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on a die cut oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, and mounted on a scalloped layer of Gold Foil. Rhinestone Basic Jewels accent the stamped sentiment.  Gold Fold Sheets layer is mounted behind just the moon in the Night of Navy Layer.  

The center of the card includes a strip of The Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape with gold foil highlights.  The Carol of Christmas bundles will save you 10% over purchasing the stamps and dies separately.
