Cake Soiree Bundle

I've been wondering how best to showcase the very busy backgrounds of the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.  There are 6 designs with foil accents and 6 designs without foils.  I've decide that smaller pieces of these very busy designs is the best way to show off these beautiful designs.  Today, I selected  a beautiful, bright paper full of Berry Burst, Rich Razzleberry, Powder Pink, and Daffodil Delight, along with Silver Foil outlines.

I used a basecard of Flirty Flamingo, then a narrow layer of Berry Burst, and then the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I choose a very wide boarder of Flirty Flamingo to mute the boldness of this print.  Sometimes less is more.

The banners are cut from Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst.  A Metallic Foil Doilies was placed under the sentiment circle to pick up Silver accents in the DSP.

The sentiment and the flower are both from the Cake Soiree stamp set.  Both are stamped in Berry Burst ink.  The flower is then cut out using the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies.  The bordering leaves are also from this same die set, and they were cut out of Garden Green cardstock.  I added a Silver Metallic Enamel Shape to the center of the flower to accent the other silver embellishments.  This is one of the cards we'll make this week end in our card class. This stamp and die set are sold as a bundle for a 10% discount.

Epic Celebrations stamp set

I needed a card for my brother's upcoming birthday, and I wanted something other than my typical flowers and fussy ribbons.  This card sat on my work surface cut but not assembled for several days.  I tried several different combinations until I finally settled on the Marina Mist and Crumb Cake combinations.  I had almost tossed it out, but I kept playing with the layout until these pieces came together.  I'm finally happy with how this turned out!

I used a basecard of Marina Mist, then a very thin layer of Crumb Cake, and then the letters are cut out of a piece of Colory Theory Designer Series Paper.

The word, "DUDE" is cut out using the Large Letters Thinlits Dies.  The letters are then popped up on Foam Adhesive Strips.

The sentiment is from the Epic Celebrations free Sale-A-Bration  stamp set.  It's stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Crumb Cake and then punched out with a 1-1/4" circle punch.  It's attached to a small piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon with Glue Dots.
