Cards & Treat boxes Class  - Sunday, June 24, 2018

With the release of the June 1 new annual Stampin' Up! catalog we have so many new, fun stamps and new dies to play with us.  Join us Sunday, June 24 to play with new products, and to make these 5 cards and 2 treat boxes  We'll use a variety of papers, die cuts, embossing folders, Blends Markers, and embellishments.

You'll love creating these cards and then sharing your creativity with others when you need  to send a special "thank you", a friendly "hello", or remember a Birthday.  Pick from a variety of sentiments so each card fits your needs..

Take a closer look at the projects we'll make in the Meetup Photo album for this class, and register for the class while you're visiting my Meetup registration site.  The photo album includes individual photos of each project we'll make.  The photo album includes the 6 cards we'll make for $27.

We'll use the Darling Label Punch Box.  And you'll learn how to use the new Stamparatus Stamp Positioning tool, and how to use the new Big Shot embossing mats that turn all of your favorite Framelits, Thinlits and Edgelits dies into decorative embossing instead of only die cuts.
Class size is limitedso register for this class now.  Your class fee of $27 for 7 projects will include precut materials, and embellishments.  Use your PayPal account and send your class fee to my PayPal account at dje-ross@swbell.net or ask me to issue you a PayPal invoice for the class.

Big Shot Embossing Mats

The new catalog includes a new set of Big Shot Mats that extend the usefulness of your Big Shot Thinlits, Framelits and Edgelits.  These mats allow you to emboss rather than cut.  You'll love the results, and we'll use this in our class on June 24. If the video does not show up in your email, here's the link.

Fun with the Darling Label Punch Kit

Look at all you get in the Darling Label Punch Kit.  It starts with this cute tin filled with crafting must-haves.  Just add your favorite paper and adhesives, and begin crafting.

Stampin' Up! Gaden Impressions Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! Garden Impressions Papers

I broke out a new package of 6" X 6" Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, today. Its part of the Garden Impressions Suite from the new catalog  I'm also a big fan of Night of Navy.  For some reason, that's one of my favorite colors for making Sophisticated cards.  This is one of those cards that takes almost no time to put together, and it's great to keep several on hand to send for almost any celebration or just to say:, "Hi, I'm thinking of you".  I tried a couple of different versions of the same card, changing up just a couple of ideas.

The basecard is Night of Navy cardstock.  Then I cut a 6 X 6" sheet in half and created two 3" X 5-1/2" pieces so I could get two cards out of a sheet.  I also cut a 1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of So Saffron for the card front.  I selected a piece of recently retired Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and tied it around the card, across the So Saffron piece.  On another version of the card I used a retired 3/8" Crush Curry Ribbon tied in a bow.  I tried some of our new catalog products, but none worked as well as these two accents with this card.  Sometimes it pays to hang on to some of your favorite retired items...

Then I used the sentiments stamps from the Accented Blooms stamp set, and stamped them in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Tailored Tag to punch out the sentiments, then mounted them on Dimensionals and attached them to the card.

Below are both cards together. I think I like the one on the left better than the one on the right.  I do know that I'll be using other prints from the Garden Impressions Suite real soon.  This suite includes so many wonderful, coordinating pieces, you'll want to include this in your upcoming purchase plans.

The Stampin' Up! Garden Impressions Designer Series Papers, and coordinating Stamp sets create glorious gardens of images.  Here are some additional samples you can create with this suite of products.
