Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek
We''ll, as hard as I try, I just can't stop making Holiday cards. At least this one is a Winter card rather than another Christmas Card. Today I created a card that made use of two of new Dies available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies and Blizzard Thinlit Die. I know this is a "busy" card, but it was so much fun to put together this little deer scene. Now that its finished, I think I'll try it in different colors. I like the colors in this card, but I want to see if I can make it "pop" a little more.
The card I created is mostly Whisper White on a Pool Party background. The background of Snowflakes was created with the Blizzard Thinlits Die and then some of the snowflakes from the die were used to accent the center oval frame created with the Layering Ovals Thinlit Dies. The whole card is a little out of my comfort zone (too busy, blue background, no ribbons/bows ...gasp), but I like the results.

Here's what you need to make this card.
Directions for today's card:
- Thick Whisper White basecard
- Next layer is Pool Party
- Use the Blizzard Thinlit and die cut a snowflake layer out of Whisper White; layer over the Pool Party layer
- Then create a 1/2" Whisper White frame covering the Pool Party layer
- Using the Layering Ovals Die, create a Whisper White Oval frame. Line the bottom with two strips of Sparkle Glimmer paper Attach the Glimmer paper to the Whisper White Oval frame with Mini Glue Dots
- Die cut two deer using the Detailed Deer Thinlits out of Whisper White. Add one deer to the edge of the frame. Add the other inside the Sparkle Glimmer Paper. Attach to the Glimmer paper with Mini Glue Dots
- From the Dashing Deer Thinlits, die cut the 4 edges out of Whisper White and adhere to the edges of the card
- Use two of the snowflakes from the Blizzard Thinlit Die to embellish the edges of the Oval Frame
- Add a few Clear Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the center of the snowflakes and flowers
