Get ready for Fall greetings with Country Home Stamp from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! Country Home Stamp Set

Earlier in September I posted a card made with the Stampin' Up! Country home set that I created for a swap.  Today, I'm sharing a couple more beautiful ideas for using the Country Home set I received from this swap.  Swaps are such a fun way to get great ideas for using stamp set that boost your creativity.

Three ideas for using COuntry Home Stamp Set

Above is the card I created on the left and swaps I received from Wendy McGrath and from Barbara Harmon.

The rich, Fall colors used on both cards I received in the swap are beautiful.  The Chicken Wire Elements and the variety of techniques used on Wendy McGrath's card below are beyond stunning.  She used three different Designer Series Paper, embossed one of the cans in Silver embossing powder, used blends to color the flowers, and used the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing folder and Silver Foil as an additional accent.  The fussy cutting alone on the cans and flowers is impressive!!  Cards like this make swapping such a joy.

Barbara Harmon's card, below is equally impressive in the choice of beautiful Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede and Mango Melody cardstock.    Barbara also used the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder on the Soft Suede background for this card for a stunning background accent.

Both cards are beautifully executed and provide great ideas for using the Country Home Stamp set for Fall greetings.

I think swaps are a wonderful way to meet other stampers, see how others use new stamp sets, and i think both Wendy McGrath and Barbara Harmon did outstanding jobs showing off the Country Home Stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  You can download free copies of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and Annual Catalogs at this link.

Spooky Sweet and Winter Woods stamps sets team up to make a beautiful Halloween scene

Stampin' Up! Spooky Sweets Stamp Set

I just received a box of swap cards and I'll be sharing many more of them in the days to come.  However, I immediately fell in love with today's card created by Jan Carlson.  I love swapping cards with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  The ideas for how others use stamp sets adds so much to the fun of new stamp sets.  Jan used two stamp sets on this card, the Spooky Sweets stamp set and the Winter Woods stamp sets from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog.

The colors used are beautiful.  The technique is brayering different colors over the lower portion of a Whisper White and other colors over the top part of the Whisper White portion.  The "moon" is a circle sticky note placed on the Whisper White card before the colors are brayed onto the card.  This is just a beautiful card, and I thank Jan Carlson for her creative color combinations and choice of stamps on this card.

Directions for today's card:
  • Basic Black basecard
  • Next layer is Whisper White with a circle masked off with a sticky note.  The bottom is a combination of  Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie with some Daffodil Delight where the trees are stamped.  The top is brayed with Gorgeous Grape and Blackberry Bliss and a hint of Cajun Craze.
  • Then the trees from Winter Woods are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  • The three bats are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the Spooky Sweets stamp set and then punched out with the Spooky Bats Punch. The largest bat is popped up on dimensionals

  • The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a Whisper White circle punched out with a 1" circle punch
  • The sentiment is matted with a Blackberry Bliss 1-1/4" circle
  • The sentiment is accented with a Rhinestone and a tab of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon

I think Jan did an outstanding job with this card and I can't wait to try my hand using her techniques!  You can download free copies of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and Annual Catalogs at this link.
