Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala


I love butterflies.  Stampin' Up! has given us a Spring Occasions and Sale-A-Bration chock full of butterflies.  Butterfly punches, butterfly paper. butterfly dies, butterfly accessories, and, of course, butterfly stamps.  Today I'm using the butterfly Gala to help finish my Christmas Thank you cards.  Are you done with your Thank you card? The background for this card is the Gingham Gala 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper that I lined with a Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Write Marker, giving the gingham paper more interest.    

I used a basecard of Lemon Lime Twist, then a layer of Lemon Lime Gingham Designer Series Paper. The sentiment block includes a die cut circle of vellum, then a layer of Whisper White, then a 5-1/2 inch piece of Whisper White  5/8" Flax ribbon, and then a layer of Daffodil Delight stamped with a sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Gorgeous Grape. 

  


The three butterflies are from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.  They are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento in and then colored with a Light Gorgeous Grape alcohol-based Blends Marker. Then the butterflies are punched out with the  Butterfly Duet Punch.  It punches both the large butterfly and the small butterfly at the same time.  That speeds up your card-making process.  Then I accented the card with adhesive-backed sequins.

My customers who have placed an order through me in the past six-months and have not changed demonstrators, should receive both your catalogs in the mail.  They arrive separately and catalogs were sent to the mailing address listed in your Stampin' Up! profile as of November 30.  I've heard most of my customers have received the Sale-A-Bration brochure, but not everyone has received the Occasions catalog yet.  It should arrive in the next few days.  Let me know if it doesn't and you've verified that your mailing address in your Stampin' Up! account profile is correct.  Until they both arrive, download your catalogs by clicking the images above or by visiting the catalog download page.  Then place your orders at my online store.

Introducing new Cling Stamps

Stampin' Up! is introducing a new stamp type in the 2019 Occasions catalog, and we're super excited.  These new stamps are called Red Rubber Cling and these new Cling labels makes our Red Rubber Stamps better than ever.  Why?  Because with these labels on your red rubber stamps, your stamps won't fall off your clear blocks or your Stamparatus plates.



Beginning with the 2019 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure, new Cling stamps are being offered on a broad basis, after being tested in select markets.  Stampin' Up! will be transitioning to Cling mount sets beginning with the 2019l catalog.  Wood-mount and clear-mount sets in the annual catalog that will carry over will transition to Cling-style stamps with the 2019-2020 annual catalog.  In the 2019-2020 annual catalog, clear-mount and wood-mount stamps will no longer be available, except for background stamps in North America.  

During the transition each stamp type (photopolymer, wood-mounted, and cling stamps) is identified with an icon, which you'll want to be sure to view when placing your orders. Take a look at this video to hear more about these stamps and tips for assembly and careful removal.   

The cling is so strong you won't have to worry about it falling off your block.  Because of the super sticky labels, you'll want to hear the tips to avoid tearing the foam backing from the stamp during removal, Also note:  Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered permanently. Attempting to remove or adjust the label will damage the stamp's foam removal.         


Use Stampin' Mist  with the Stampin' Scrub or the Simply Shammy to clean your Cling Stamp.  Avoid using alcohol-based cleaners.  Alcohol will ruin the Cling Adhesive on the stamp.  If your label gets dirty, you can clean it with water, Stampin' Mist or very mild detergent.   Avoid using cleaning wipes as it will leave behind fibers.  We don't recommend using Staz On Cleaner.  If Staz On Cleaner comes in contact with the label, it should be cleaned with Stampin' Mist.  For additional information on how to label your Cling stamps, click here.  Instructions for applying your labels to your Cling stamps are included in every Cling stamp case.

Can't wait for Spring?  These beautiful butterflies will hold you over.  Here's a card showing the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies from the upcoming Occasions catalog.  And the wait is almost over.  Beginning January 3, you'll be able to place orders for this set of thinlits as well as a wagon-load of other beautiful new stamp sets, dies and coordinating papers, ribbons and accessories.

 The beautiful background paper is from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, which you can earn during Sale-A_Bration with a $40 order.  Look through the Sale-A-Bration Brochure to see all of the selections you can choose from.  The Sale-A-Bration Brochure will be live Thursday, January 3.  

My customers have already received the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure in their mailbox.  Before my customers begin calling, YES, the new Occasions catalogs are also on the way.  They were shipped within a few days of each other, so it should be in your mailbox soon. For today's card, I used a Highland Heather, then a layer of Gorgeous Grape and then a print from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  The butterflies are two layers; one of Gorgeous Grape and the second of Highland Heather, cut with the new Butterfly Beauty Thinlit Dies.  

The sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape on a small piece of Whisper White, and it is from the Piece of Cake stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  The sentiment piece is layered over the Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon, a very soft ribbon, much like the Burlap ribbon in the main catalog, only more pliable.  

Isn't this a gorgeous card?  Just the card for a special friend or family member, and very easy to make as the butter fly images are all connected, so you're making only two passes through the big shot.  One for the lighter color and one for the darker color cardstock used.
