Stampin' Up! Detailed Deer Dies

Today's card highlights how well Stampin' Up! products from across the catalogs work together to create beautiful cards.  That's always been one of the benefits of Stampin' Up! products, but sometimes we forget as its just easier to use product suites with coordinating stamp sets and dies and matching Designer Series Papers.  The card created today, doesn't use any of the new Holiday catalog Designer Series Papers. Yet it certainly is a beautiful! Just grab some of the items you probably already have on hand and make this beautiful card.

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then the next layer on the top 1/3 of the card is a layer of Whisper White dry embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  A 1/4" strip of Gold Foil Sheet is layered at the bottom of the embossed piece.

Then I die cut a deer using the Detailed Deer Dies from Gold Foil Sheets.  I used two of the snowflakes from the Frosted Frames dies and cut two snowflakes from Gold Glimmer Paper and added them to the card front on either side of the dashing deer.

I tied a Real Red bow out of 3/8" Cotton Ribbon, and used a sentiment from the So Many Stars Stamp Set to create a Real Red sentiment at the bottom of the card.

You'll find so many creative ways to combine the many stamps, dies and embossing folders from both the Stampin' Up! main catalog, and the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. I hope this simple, easy card will inspire you to make hand-made cars for someone you love on World Card Making Day, October 5, 2019.  Read more below. You'll love everything you make with these products.

World Card Making Day - October 5, 2019

Card Making Day reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart, and the hands and creativity of the people we love. So set aside some time,  look through my blog for inspirational ideas, and make a few cards for Fall occasions.   You know how much fun it is to receive them on special occasions, birthdays and holidays.  They sit on our mantles, or kitchen counters, and some even get tucked away as special memories. Make your cards, decorate your envelops, find your stamps.

Then, next week, we have a goal to send 50,000 cards during the first annual World Card Sending week.  Watch for an update on October 8 to learn how many cards we send.  Get out your address book and start addressing your envelopes now.  Then, let's make some cards and get them in the mail.  Make someone happy they know you!  Let someone know you care.

If you're a demonstrator, on Saturday, during World Card Making Day, we'll join our DDMs on the Demonstrator Planning Place for "Craft with Us" sessions including project ideas and tips.  If you sign up as a demonstrator before Saturday, you can join us on the Facebook Demonstrator Planning Place during World Card Making Day, and you can also order the new Paper Trimmer as part of your Starter Kit.  Join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator today and enjoy the fun!

Perfectly Plaid with a fine line of Gold - That's what Wrapped in Plaid Papers look like

  • Stampin' Up! Wrapped In Plaid Suite
  • Make cards on World Card Making Day -October 5, 2019
  • Help us send 50,000 cards the week after World Card Making Day

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set

I was catching up on my Facebook feeds and ran across the layout for this card on the Demonstrator Planning Place. A site for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators all over the world, where we share card ideas, projects, and ideas for classes and events.  It's one more of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  It's a great resource for finding inspiration when you need a quick jump-start to your creativity.  This original idea came from Stesha Bloodhart ,one of the wonderful Artisan's on the Stampin' Up! Design Team.   She cased the layout from the catalog and changed up the colors to make the card here own.  I loved here color combinations and made only minor changes to her beautiful card.  It uses many items from the Stampin' Up Wrapped In Plaid Suite from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, including the Perfectly Plain Stamp Set.

The basecard for this card is Thick Very Vanilla.  Then a the top half is a layer of Gold Foil Sheet.  The bottom half is one of the prints from the Wrapped in Plaid 6" X 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper (149596).

The ribbon between the two layers of paper is the Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and the ribbon is Very Vanilla.

Then I die cut a circle fro Gold Foil Sheet (132622) using the Stitched Shapes Dies (145372).  The stitched circle is mounted on Dimensionals.

I used the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set (149418), and stamped one of the images in Versamark ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped it again on a piece of Cherry Cobbler.  Then both images were dredged with Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder and set with my eat Tool (129053).  I used the Pine Tree Punch (149521) to punch out the threes, including the center tree in the photo above, which uses another print from the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper (149596).

I used another piece of Very Vanilla, and stamped a sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed the sentiment using Gold Stampin' Embossing Powder.  The final elements added were the Metallic Pearls, which come in both Silver and Gold  I used the Gold Metallic Pearls to match my card's color scheme.

You'll find so many creative ways to use the Perfectly Plaid Bundle -- Stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree Punch.  Use the Bundle order number (151143) to save 10% when you order the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Pine Tree Punch together.   You'll love everything you make with this bundle.
