Stampin' Up! Cup of Christmas

I'm having fun today with a Gift Card Holder / Business Card Holder card.  It uses the Cup of Christmas stamp set and the coordinating Cup of Cheer Dies.  The finished card size is 4-1/4 X 4-1/4 so you can use a full-size card envelope or create a custom envelope.  am such a fan of the two stamp sets I'm using today.  I've paired the Cup of Christmas Bundle with 6" X 6" Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper to give this cute Gift Card Holder a holiday feel.  This is perfect for remembering special people who have helped you throughout the year.

The basecard for this card is Shaded Spruce.  The basecard is 10-1/2 X 4-1/4.  It is scored at 4-1/4" X 5-1/4" and 6-1/4".  Fold the basecard to create an "M" or a "W", and crease with a bone folder to create a sharp crease.  Use tear an tape to hold the pieces together.  Use the Classic Label Punch to punch out an opening wide enough to hold a gift card.

Then add layers to the card front of Gold Foil Sheet, and Cajun Craze, and finally, one of 6" X 6" Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The Wrapped in Plaid layer is 3" X 3" meaning you can get 4 from each 6" X 6" sheet.  Before adding these layers to the basecard, I added a bow using Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8" Striped Ribbon.

To complete the card front, I used the Cup of Cheer Dies to cut a mug from Cajun Craze card stock.  I used two other dies to cut the Christmas flower and leaves from Gold Foil Sheet.  Finally, I used the tag dies and the string die to create my sentiment layers for the card front.   The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink.

On the inside of the card, I added a layer of Cajun Craze and then used a Whisper White layer for my sentiment.  The Sentiment and border is from the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set.

This same layout would work for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years as well as Birthday's and other celebrations by changing up the colors, designer series papers and the Gold Foil accents.  Join us this week end to make this and other beautiful Holiday Cards.  See more below about our upcoming Holiday Card Class.  You'll love creating this fun gift card using Cup of Christmas Stamp Set and the Cup of Cheer Dies.  And, you'll love everything you make with this bundle.
