Sparkly Winter Woods and Beautiful Boughs for Beautiful Holiday cards

Sparkly Winter Woods with Beautiful Boughs

Today I pulled out Winter Woods again and paired it with Beautiful Boughs Dies in Gold Foil accents.  The background uses the Buffalo Check Background stamp.  I love that with this Background stamp I can create whatever color I need for my project without using Designer Series Paper.  The Gold foil accents, embossed Winter woods Tress, covered with Ice Stampin' Glitter sets just the right wintry feel for this time of year.              
  




The basecard is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then a layer of Soft Suede, then a layer of Very Vanilla stamped with the Buffalo Check Background stamp and Crumb Cake ink.   



To create the layer with the trees, I used a piece of Soft Suede, matted with Very Vanilla.  I used Sparkle Glimmer Paper to create a blanket of snow at the bottom of the trees.  The trees from Winter Woods Stamp Set were stamped in Versamark ink, covered with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heated with the Heat Tool until set.  Then I used glue and Ice Stampin' Glitter to add more shine and sparkle to the trees.

 I  used dies from Detailed Deer and from Beautiful Boughs and cut elements from Gold Foil sheets to accent the sentiments and the top corner of the card.   



  
The sentiments are from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, and the other from Country Home.  Both are stamped in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White backgrounds  The "So grateful..." sentiment is die cut using the labels from Frosted Bouquet.  The "Thinking of you..." sentiment is punched using the punch from the Darling Label Punch Box.  I hand cut the coordinating mat.
