Stampin' Up! Honey Bee Bundle

The Honey Bee Stamp Set from the January-June 2020 Mini catalog was a real sleeper for me  It didn't even make my first Demonstrator Preorder.  But the more samples I saw with this set, the more I had to have it.  Now I can't stop playing with it!!.  Of course it helps that there is a Designer Series Paper Pack that coordinates with the Stamp Set and Detailed Bees Dies as one of the FREE Sale-A_Bration selections.  It's called the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper, and it is on page 10 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

The basecard for today's' card is So Saffron.  Then a layer of Crushed Curry dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Then a layer of Whisper White is the image layer, which I also dry embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing Folder.

I used the Detailed Bees Dies to Cut the beehive out of the Whisper White Layer.  I also used  the Detailed Bee Dies to cut a Honeycomb to insert into the Bee Hive Opening.  I selected a Crushed Curry striped print from the Best Dressed 6" X 6" Designer Series Papers to place behind the honeycomb.

I stamped the two flowers in Old Olive and colored the flowers with the Mango Melody Light Stampin' Blends Marker. I stamped the small bee in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored the body with the Mango Melody Light Stampin' Blends Marker. There are die cuts to cut out the flowers and the Bee. I popped them upon Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and added them to my card front.

Then, I stamped the sentiments from Honey Bee Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink onto die cuts from the All Dressed Up Dies.  I love how pieces from different dies and paper packs work with additional suites.

To complete my card, I added a bow of Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack, a Free selection from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  I also added three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the front of the card.  three Silver Metallic Pearls to the edge of the large heart, and I stamped a sentiment in Smoky Slate from the Heart To Heart Stamp Set.  Wouldn't this card and a sampler make a fun gift for a friend?

You'll want to take a look at the Honey Bee Bundle on page 30 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  You'll Love Everything you make with this set.  Buy the:

Stampin' Up! Golden Honey Specialty DSP

Today's project is a CASE of a Sampler project done by Sara Douglass, Stampin' Up! CEO at November's OnStage event.  It uses one of the free papers selections from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  And, it coordinates with the Honey Bee Bundle from the January-June 2020 Mini catalog.   Several of the prints in the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper include gold foil accents.

I used a 12 X 12 piece of Whisper White Cardstock for the base.  Then the rest of the sampler is just a series of 1" squares, 1-1/4" squares, 1-1/2" squares and 2"  squares cut from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also cut a few squares out of Gold Glimmer Sheets.  The center image is a 3" Whisper White square.

Some of the squares are mounted flat, other are mounted on dimensionals.  And others are mounted on a double layer of dimensionals.  The center 3" square is the hive from the Honey Bee Stamp Set stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder.  The bee is die cut out of Basic Black using the Detailed Bee Dies.  I mounted this into a shadow- box frame.  I may go back and add some hearts to the center image and use this as a Valentine's Day gift.

Below is a diagram of the sizes and placement of the squares cut from the prints in the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper package.  Basically, you need 15 - 1" squares and 4 of each of the other squares, and one 3 X 3" square for the center.  Begin by measuring to the center of your 12 X 12 paper and add your 3" square.  Then add the other squares with the 2"squares at the four corners of the 3" center square.
