Valentine Card Alternatives using Paper Pumpkin Kit - v.2

Yesterday I showed a couple of Alternative Paper Pumpkin Cards we made with our I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kits during our Meetup earlier this week with crafting friends.  Today, I'm showing two more cards I created during our Meetup.  The January Paper Pumpkin Kit is meant to create treat holders and gift cards.  However, the kit coordinates with the Heart Punch Pack and the Heartfelt Stamp Set from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. If you've used your kit for Valentine Treats and want to make some of these Alternative Cards using elements from the kit, you can order a refill for the kit, while they last.  I'll Bee Yours Refill Kit is items # 153628, $10.00 USD.

Here are two more of the cards I made.  One tip I'll pass on is that I cut several die cuts, embossed several layers, and cut several basecards in coordinating colors used in the Paper Pumpkin Kit before our Meetup.  This allowed me to quickly  assemble cards on the spot.  I use several products from our Annual catalog and the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog along with the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit for January 2020.  Hat tip to the designers at Stampin' Up! for making it so easy to coordinate products across our product lines.

On this first card above, the basecard for the card above is Mint Macaron.  Then a layer of Whisper White dry embossed with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.  Then the image layer is a scalloped, stitched rectangle in Heather Highland, die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Next, there are several hearts die cut from Mint Macaron, Gorgeous Grape and Whisper White using the Stitched Be Mine Dies. The largest heart is dry embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.  Reminder: You will need the 3D Embossing Folder Plate when you use the 3D Embossing Folders.  Your sandwich is the platform, your embossing folder with the cardstock, and the 3D Embossing Folder Plate.  No clear plate is needed.

For this second card, the basecard is Mint Macaron Cardstock.  Then a layer of Whisper White Cardstock.  Then a layer of Mint Macaron dry embossed with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

Then, I used one of the treat holders with the Mint Macaron embossing from the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I added a Mint Macaron Twine ribbon from the Nature's Twine pack.  Then I selected a Gorgeous Grape heart from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and stamped it with the "with love" stamp from the Kit and stamped Happy Valentine's Day in Gorgeous Grape ink in the center.  I also used a heart die cut from the Stitched Be Mine Dies set and several of the flower sequins from the January I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin kit.

There are so many alternative project ideas you'll have for the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit, and products from both the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  I loved pairing this kit with Mint Macaron, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape Petal Pink and Rococo Rose.  I'm going to save some of the treat holders from this kit and use them with these colors for Easter treats, too.  You'll love how you can stretch your Paper Pumpkin Kit contents, especially when the kit colors work for multiple occasions.

Valentine Card Alternatives using Paper Pumpkin Kit

Today we got together and put our I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kits together.  What wonderful cards everyone came up with, and what a wonderful time with friends!  As always, it was just too short of a time together.

I'm going to show you a couple of cards today and more cards later this week so I have time to describe how each card went together.  I love that the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit for January coordinates with the Heart Punch pack from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog   If you've used your kit for Valentine Treats and want to make some of these Alternative Cards using elements from the kit, the kit refills are available to order, while they last.  I'll Bee Yours Refill Kit is items # 153628, $10.00 USD.

Here are two of the cards I made today.  You see that I use several other products from our Annual catalog and the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog along with the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit for January 2020.  I love that the designers at Stampin' Up! make it so easy to coordinate products across our product lines.

The basecard for the card above is Rococo Rose.  Then a layer of Petal Pink dry embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.  Then the image layer is a square of Rococo Rose and a scalloped square die cut with the Layering Squares Dies.

Next, there is a Whisper White heart die cuts from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  I cut them in half so that they peeked out on both sides of the image layer.  The White detailed heart is also die cut using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  Then I used one of the Rococo Rose hearts from the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit from January 2020.  I stamped it with one of the stamps from the Heartfelt  Stamp Set.  Then I punched a scalloped Heart using the Heart Punch Pack out of Rococo Rose Cardstock to use as a mat for the heart from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.

The small stitched Petal Pink heart is die cut using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  It is stamped with one of the stamps from the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit using Rococo Rose Ink.  To finish the card, I added some flower accents from the Paper Pumpkin Kit and a bow out of White Baker's Twine from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.

For this second card, the basecard is Gorgeous Grape Cardstock.  Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock dry embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. It gives the card such a nice, soft look.  Then the image layer is a Gorgeous Grape Scalloped Stitched rectangle using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. A Whisper White Square die cut using the Layering Squares Dies is layered on top of the Gorgeous Grape Rectangle.

The White detailed heart is die cut using one of the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  Then I selected on of the Gorgeous Grape flowered heart die cuts from the I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin Kit in Gorgeous Grape onto a Whisper White rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I had a small Gorgeous Grape heart from a Stitched Be Mine Dies which I added to the corner of the sentiment.  Then, I created a bow out of the Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon and added it to the top of the card.

You'll love making alternative projects using your I'll Bee Yours Paper Pumpkin Kit, and products from both the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  You'll stretch your kit contents knowing that you can use your Paper Pumpkin Kit for much more than the projects designed for the kit.

If you're kit is still in its original box, and you missed our Paper Pumpkin Kit Assembly Meetup today, watch this quick video showing how to assemble your kit.  Stampin' Up! creates a how-to video each month to show you how your kit goes together.  This kit has 20 treat bags, 10 mini cards and envelopes, and embellishments.  Make the kit as intended, or try the Alternative Card ideas shown here.  January's kit has everything you need to celebrate your favorite friendships and love stories.   Video doesn't show up in your feed?  Use this link.  https://youtu.be/h1W2MZw9Wq0
