Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday To You
Have a special wedding, Birthday, or Anniversary coming up? If you need a card, you're going to want to pull out your Happy Birthday To You Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set and create that Special Card. Today's card came together very quickly because of the coordinating Birthday Dies. I used the dies to cut out just the flowers from the cake, plus the tall cake stand, and the gold foil foliage used on this card. So easy! Then I used Blends alcohol-based markers to lightly color the cake elements, to keep the card as sophisticated as possible. You're going to find so many uses for this set. But you only have weeks left to earn the stamp set and purchase the coordinating dies during the once a year Sale-A-Bration event...Stampin' Up!'s best sale of the year because of the free merchandise you can earn with each $50 or $100 order.
The basecard for today's card is thick Whisper White. Then a layer of Gold Foil paper. Then another layer of Whisper White dry embossed using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder.
For the image layer, I stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink the cake from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set, and then stamped the flowers on the cake a second time. The Birthday Dies include a die for the entire cake, plus it includes a die to cut out just the flowers. Someone was thinking when they created this coordinating die set!!
The coordinating Birthday Dies also include the tall cake stand die. To use it you need to trim off the short cake stand that is included on the cake. I made my cake stand even taller by cutting it so more of it showed after I included the sentiment. I die cut the cake stand out of Gold Foil Sheet. At the same time I was die cutting the cake stand, I added the leaves and sprigs and cut all the Gold Foil elements I needed for my card at the same time.
The sentiment is also from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set. I stamped it with Gold Glitz Ink, a retired product from the Holiday catalog, but you could also stamp with Versamark and heat emboss it with Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiment is on a stitched rectangle die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I lightly highlighted the flowers on the cake and accented the cake using the Light Soft Sea Form Blends Marker and Light Smoky Slate Blends Marker. For the sentiment, I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog to cut a small Whisper White scalloped rectangle. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Fable Friends Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. To finish accenting my card, I added a bow using the 1/4" Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

We'll decorate our cards and matching envelopes in class and then you can use these projects as samples or templates to make more projects on your own. These are great handmade projects you'll be proud to use with family or friends.
New stampers, experienced stampers, and other Stampin' Up! demonstrators are always welcome. It's a great way to create samples, share ideas and learn from each other. We have a great bunch of stampers who enjoy joking and laughing while stamping the afternoon away.
