I'm still playing catch up on assembling my Pumpkin Kits from earlier this year.  I decided to play with our March 2021 Here's To You Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I watched the assembly video, and wasn't sure how I would use the mountain and trees images, which are great for masculine cards, but I also wanted to makes some feminine cards.  

In addition to the assembly video, the kit incudes written instructions with photos available to help you assemble your kit plus more ideas if you want to create alternative cards with your kits.  I have to admit that occasionally a kit simply isn't my style.  However, with so many great stampers willing to share their alternative ideas for creating cards and projects with the kits, I always find a way to use the elements in each kit.  I found a lovely card idea from Julie Gilson, from Stampin' Gala and realized that the stamp set included in the kit contained a wonderful floral image.

The basecard for this card is Petal Pink Cardstock.  Then a Basic White layer.  Next, I cut up one of the Petal Pink basecard included in the kit,  My image layer is Calypso Coral and Basic White.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the floral image 3 times.  I found that I could simply move the Stamparatus plate down one notch each time I stamped, and 3 sets of flower images stamped in perfect alignment.  The Stamparatus takes the guess work out of stamping and aligning repeat images. I inked the stamp with Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker and Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker.  The Stamparatus helped make sure that I was able to get complete ink coverage on each image.  If I missed inking a spot on the stamp set, I simply inked the stamp again and covered the missing spot.

I used the twine in this Paper Pumpkin kit to add a bow to the front of the card.  I used the Happy Birthday stamp, one of the included stamps in this kit's stamp set, and used the Calypso Coral Spot from the kit to stamp it on one of the sentiment labels included in the kit.

Kangaroo & Company for Baby Congratulations

I needed a congratulation cards for a nephew and niece. My niece is a new mother-to-be.  I think the Kangaroo & Company Bundle was the perfect choice!  I paired it with one of the prints from the Snail Mail Designer Series Papers and it all came together in this cute card.  The Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set and the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper are from the January-June Mini Catalog, which means they are available until 30 June 2021.     




The basecard for this card is Real Red Cardstock.  Then a Basic White layer.  Next, I selected a print from the Snail mail Designer Series Paper Pack.



I used the Layering Circles Dies to create a background for my Kangaroo.  I used the Kangaroo Dies to stamp and die cut a kangaroo and baby from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock.   I stamped two Real Red hearts from the Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set onto the die cut circle



I punched a heart using the Heart Punch Pack and stamped a sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink from the retired Punch Party Host Stamp Set.  I keep certain Stamp Sets after they are retired if I find them to be particularly useful. The retired Punch Party Host Stamp Set is one of those sets. On the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from the Many Messages Stamp Set.  Because this set includes 18 sentiments and hearts and stars, and I only needed one sentiment, I used a Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the one sentiment I needed and stamped it onto my card inside.  I also added a strip of Designer Series Paper to the bottom.




I popped the kangaroos and "Oh Baby" sentiment up on Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals.  I added a Real Red bow, and my card was finished.  My only question is:  What color are kangaroos?  Are they Soft Suede? Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate? Gray Granite I really don't know!  I do know that this really, really cute stamp set is only available until 30 June 2021 from the January-June 2021 Muni Catalog.
