I always get the September Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love making treat holder for the smaller and smaller groups of children who Trick or Treat in our neighborhood. And I always hope the September kit includes treat holders. The Spooky Treats September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit did not disappoint!. This kit includes 3 different designs of matchbox-style treat holders that are going to be so much fun to fill with candy and offer to the Trick or Treaters who visit our home this year. The base part of these matchbox treat holders folds together without the need to glue or tape!! Then the top folds around the base and you simply use Tear N Tape to hold the edges of the top together. Then you use the stamp set and die cuts and ink spot that comes with this kit to stamp sentiments, and decorate the cover of each of the 3 different treat holder designs. What a FUN kit!. And I've already seen several alternative ideas for using the kit to make greeting cards, including stamping the ghost stamp upside down to create a tulip-like flower! People are sooo creative!
This kit is filled with fun die cuts and embellishments to use with your match-box style treat holders. I made these first three samples according to the printed directions included in the kit.
There are White, Black and Orange match-box bottoms that fold together without needing glue or tape. Then there are three different "wrappers" that fold over the base boxes that you decorate using die cuts, embellishments and stamped sentiments included in the kit. You'll end up with 18 treat, 6 each of 3 designs. This kit also includes an Orchid Oasis Ink Spot, my favorite In Color.

In my mind I can easily see these treat holders repurposed as Thanksgiving treat holders using different Fall-themed pumpkins and leaves dies and sentiments. The spider web wrap-around is easily replaced with a Basic White Cardstock wrap-around, and then stamped with images from Rustic Pumpkin Bundle for a Thanksgiving theme. Similar image and sentiment changes would be easy to create for the other two bases as well. These little matchbox-style treat holders will make your Halloween tricks and treats memorable.

Don't have these sets to use? No problem! Find similar sets among your existing sets, and create your cards using sets you already own. For instance, instead of Cottage Wreath, consider using Natural Prints from the Annual Catalog. This is what I'll be using. And, I've already ordered the other two set. I can't wait to get my hands on the new set we're able to preorder from the 2023 Mini Catalog!
Project Measurements: Before the event, use the Stampin' Up! cutting guide to precut the cardstock you'll need to make the three cards Stampin' Up! will show us how to create. They will also show us some new techniques.
I'm planning to cut two sets of cardstock for each card so I'm ready to make a second card once the live event ends. That way I'll have one card as a sample and a second card ready to send.
