Adorable Owls Stamp Set From Stampin' Up! makes whimsical Birthday Cards

Here's another card I created using the whimsical, Adorable Owls Stamp Set.  I created a grouping of owls by stamping multiples from the stamp set, and I used one of the sentiments included in the set to create a Birthday theme for my card.  I continued with the same color theme I used on a previous Adorable Owls card I made --  Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, along with a print from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper.  I also used several Blends alcohol Markers in Soft Suede, Pale Papaya, Balmy Blue, and Calypso Coral along with a Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Pencil to color my Owls.  After stamping and coloring my Owls, I fussy cut them and added them to my card.  During Sale-A-Bration you can select Free gifts from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure for each $50 or $100 you order, less tax and shipping. The basecard for today's card is Calypso Coral Cardstock.  Then, I dry embossed a Petal Pink layer using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  Next, I selected one of the Calypso Coral prints from the Dandy Designer 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper and matted it with Basic White Cardstock to create a backdrop for my Owl images. 

I stamped in Back Memento Ink two of the Adorable Owls with bow ties, an done with a party hat from the Stampin' Up! Adorable Owls Stamp Set.  I used Soft Suede, Pale Papaya, Balmy Blue, and Pumpkin Pie Blends to color each of the owls.  I used a Dark Calypso Coral Blends for the bow ties and the party hat, but felt it was too dark.  I used a White Blends to pick up some of the color, lightening the bow ties just a bit. I tried a Light Calypso Coral, but could never get it dark enough; Dark Calypso Coral worked better. I fussy cut the owls, and popped them up on Dimensionals to add to my image layer.  

I finished my card I used a sentiment from the Adorable Owls Stamp Set.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then added two black dots at the end of the Basic White layer from th e Classic Matte Dots pack.
