Winter is a time for comfort, good food and warmth, sitting by a fire while watching the snowy scene with wild life unfold before your eyes.  The Winter Meadow Designer Paper captures this mood perfectly.  While I like all of more colorful papers in this designer series paper pack, I bought it primarily for this lovely deer-themed winter scene. I wanted to create a scene looking out tall windows onto this sublime winter scene, and used the Deckled Rectangles to create exactly the focal point I wanted.  I used a minimalist color theme of Basic White and Pebbled Path Cardstock, and created several layers of frames to showcase the deer and snowy image from the designer series paper.  I dry embossed the white frame using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, and I stamped sentiments from the Magical Meadow Stamp Set in White Embossing powder on sentiment labels from the Autumn Leaves Dies and the circle is from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I'm waiting for the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon to return to stock the middle of this month, and while waiting, I used a retired White Sheer Ribbon from my stash.  I added small Silver Festive Pearls as a final accessory for my card.   I love the moody feel of this winter scene.  The photo doesn't do it justice.       

     

The basecard for this card is Thick Basic White Cardstock.  Then I created alternating layers of Pebbled Path Cardstock, and Basic White Cardstock.  I dry embossed the Basic White layer using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  I created the Pebbled Path frame using the Deckled Rectangles Dies. 

Next, I die cut the deer image from the Winter Meadows Designer Series Paper using one of the Deckled Rectangles Dies and glued it to the Pebbled Patch Cardstock Frame.   Then I die cut one sentiment label from Pebble Path using a circle die from Stylish Shapes Dies, and die cut another sentiment label from Pebbled Path using one of the die from Autumn Leaves Dies.  

To finish my cards, I used VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiments from the Magical Meadow Stamp Set onto the Pebble Path sentiment labels.  I covered the wet VersaMark ink with White Embossing Powder and set the powder using my Heat Tool.  I added a bow out of White Sheer 1/4" ribbon , and I added silver Festive Pearls as accents to my card.
